Launch an annual flagship event as an
attractive interdisciplinary gathering
for the physics community!
Challenge
We were commissioned with the concept development, which was carried out in close coordination with the WEHS office. In the first phase of the project, existing models for annual conferences and events in the German foundation and research landscape were examined and leading representatives of relevant organizations were interviewed. The initial research was aimed at mapping out the environment of similar events and identifying best-in-class examples. Based on these findings, three potential strategic directions for the flagship event were developed. In each of the three scenarios, physics is placed at the center in different ways. In a workshop, the selection was narrowed down to one scenario, which was elaborated in more depth by us.
